Setelah mendengarkan pidato Michelle Obama pada konvensi Partai Demokrat kemarin (26/7), jangan heran bila kata-katanya diplagiat oleh orang lain. Isi pidatonya, menurut penulis Carmine Gallo pada Forbes.com, memiliki struktur baik, berisi, cerdas, relevan, tidak lepas dari unsur politik, namun juga terdengar rendah hati, dan menyentuh banyak aspek kehidupan—termasuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasilnya, membangkitkan emosi bagi siapa pun yang mendengarnya. Michelle pun menerima banyak pujian, termasuk dari presiden Amerika yang juga suaminya sendiri, Barrack Obama.
Pujian juga mesti diberikan kepada orang yang ikut membantu Michelle menciptakan pidato tersebut, yaitu Sarah Hurwitz. Sejak tahun 2008, wanita lulusan bidang sejarah dari Univesitas Harvard ini sudah bergabung di tim kepresidenan AS sebagai penulis naskah untuk Michelle Obama. Sarah pula yang turut menciptakan pidato Michelle pada tahun 2008, yang diduga ditiru oleh Melania Trump baru-baru ini.
Untuk menciptakan pidato-pidato Michelle Obama yang berisi tapi tetap mudah dicerna, Sarah selalu berdiskusi dengan Michelle. Biasanya, Michelle akan menyampaikan kerangka pemikiran, lalu Sarah menciptakan draftnya, yang akan dikembangkan lagi oleh Michelle, kemudian dikoreksi bersama.
