Ajang penganugerahan di bidang industri perfilman, Golden Globe kembali digelar untuk ke-73 kalinya pada 10 Januari 2016, di Beverly Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles. Beberapa hal menarik terjadi di acara Golden Globe tahun ini, salah satunya film The Martian yang memenangkan penghargaan film terbaik kategori film musikal/komedi. Kabarnya, nih, film ini menang karena andil pemainnya, Matt Damon, yang dapat mengubah kondisi tegang di film menjadi santai dan menghibur.
Lady Gaga pun cukup mendapat perhatian. Dirinya mendapatkan penghargaan berkat perannya dalam serial televisi American Horror Story: Hotel dalam kategori Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television.
Kegembiraan Lady Gaga ini dituangkan lewat speech kemenangannya di ajang ini. "Ini merupakansalah satu momen terbesar di dalam hidup saya. Sebelum menyanyi, saya memang kepikiran untuk menjadi aktris. Namun, musik ternyata berjalan lebih dulu dibanding akting."
Di instagramnya, @ladygaga, dia juga posting foto sambil memegang piala Golden Globe. “I am so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press. Thank you Taylor for being right there for me the whole way through. Monsters, never lose hope in yourself. This is for my brilliant manager @wanaynay Staying in the fight is the true test.
